The basics

Size: Mostly 50-70cm, with fish approaching a metre showing up.
Typical catch: Roughly 0-3 per angler. Each fish counts for a lot.
What it is like: You look for surface boils where they chase bait, move the boat in and cast. The day hinges on whether you meet the run.

Handling: The teeth are sharp and the flesh spoils quickly. Use pliers to unhook, and chill the fish as soon as it is aboard.
